  • When shopping online, make sure you are purchasing from a reputable company and paying using a secure method such as Paypal or a secure credit card.

  • Many credit card providers offer temporary numbers specifically for shopping online. It is important to know when and where this information can be safely distributed.

  • Updated anti-virus and anti-spyware as well as a secure firewall are equally crutial to mantaining digital safety. Additionally, creating a back-up of your computer information on a regular basis can help prevent future catastrophy.
